Hi,
vercrush didn’t exist as a keyword when Doctor Octopus: Fully Armed and Horn of the Unicorn: Basic Action Card were originally printed. It’s easier for players to know that rules questions involving those cards should work exactly the same as cards with Overcrush since it’s the same effect.
It’s true that some other cards may interact a little differently with these cards as a result, but those interactions are few and far between compared to the help this gives to players getting started out in Dice Masters.
